The Art of Tailoring – Mona Lisa Style
Ejjeh & Sons, makers of custom-tailored clothing in Beirut – Lebanon since 1926, recently renovated their shop and decided to freshen up their street appearance with the hope of appealing to a younger generation. Looking for a buzz-worthy way to put their name out there with more contemporary fashion while still giving a nod to their long-standing skills and tradition, they enlisted the help of République Beirut and their version of Mona Lisa was created.
Over the course of three months of planning with 10 creatives, and nine hours of set-up, Mona Lisa was constructed with 1,292 spools of thread in 63 colours (including shades that had to be flown in from China). The result is a perfect way to reflect the company’s dedication to its custom-tailoring.
